A true Social media platform is that of the networking meetings of business associations
and other groups. The thing of it is though, too many people sit with the same folks, talk to the same folks, and generally limit themselves to those they already know.
It’s NETworking folks, it’s like a NET with connections in all directions. Not a circle, closed upon itself. Cast your net wide and meet new people, make new connections. Sit with someone new and talk to them! Yes, it’s great to see familiar friends, but networking is about making connections. You are already plugged in to those familiar folks, but there are so many you haven’t met yet.
Go introduce yourself to at least 2 or 3 new people at your next meeting, and ask about their business and how you can help them.
You just might enlarge your circle too.
